We use eco-designed products, but what does that mean in practice?

These days, we hear a lot about ‘eco-designed’ products.
OK, it sounds good, but what does it really mean?

An eco-designed product is manufactured to limit its impact on the environment and health, from production to recycling. In simple terms, it means less pollution, less waste and better use of resources!

This means the use of recycled or sustainable materials, production that generates a minimum of waste and uses less energy, reduced packaging… all without compromising the quality or efficiency of the product.

But putting it into practice is not so simple:

Finding environmentally-friendly raw materials without compromising the strength and lifespan of our products requires constant research and innovation.
Reducing the amount of waste involves implementing new processes and requires greater vigilance on the part of production operators.
Reducing energy consumption in production means investing in more appropriate equipment, which represents significant investment.
Minimising packaging while protecting the product is a real headache!

Despite all these constraints, more and more companies, like HANOVA, are moving in this direction, because, yes, respect for the environment and performance are complementary elements.

HANOVA uses eco-designed materials, because it makes good sense, for us and for the planet, even if it means regular rethinking and additional costs.

Making our products from eco-designed materials isn’t about following a trend, it’s a real commitment. Our desire to innovate means that we’re always coming up with new ideas, because we don’t want to be ‘followers’, we want to play our role as ‘leaders’ 😊

Choosing our eco-designed products means contributing to a future that is more respectful of our beautiful planet.
